How to use clipboard history (Win+V vs Comfort Clipboard)

Windows 10 and 11 have a built-in clipboard history under Win+V. Why would I need Comfort Clipboard Pro on top of it?

The built-in Win+V history is a quick win, but it is intentionally minimal:

• Stores only the last 25 items and is cleared on every reboot.
• Does not preserve formatting reliably and ignores most file or image clips.
• Has no search, no folders, no favourites, no preview pane.

Comfort Clipboard Pro replaces it with a full clipboard manager:

• Unlimited history that survives reboots, with full text, RTF, HTML, image and file clips.
• Instant search across the whole history.
• Favourites and folders for fragments you reuse every day.
• Preview pane and “paste as plain text” for cleaner pastes.
• Optional encryption of the storage and per-application filters for sensitive data.

You can keep Win+V or disable it in Settings > System > Clipboard — Comfort Clipboard Pro works regardless of that setting.
